Khloe Kardashian Reveals Why She’s Been Single for 3 Years: ‘Dating Has Not Been a Focus for Me’
Khloé Kardashian has been single for three years, and she insisted that she’s happy not having a romantic partner at the moment.
“Dating has not been a focus for me, and I’ve been single for about three years and love it,” Khloé, 40, told Bustle in an interview published on Tuesday, December 3. “But I’m not single and dating. I’m just single. I have such power and strength in that. I’m not lonely.”
The Kardashians star added that she’s not concerned about being single because she’s not “lonely,” and she instead said that she’s “single and thriving.”
Because Khloé doesn’t have a romantic partner to worry about, she said that she’s “working on [herself] so much” and is “getting to such a good place” that she doesn’t want to do “something to disrupt it.”
While many people have slid into her DMs hoping to spark a romantic connection, Khloé told the outlet that she has no interest in searching for love on social media.
Khloé also reflected on how being a mother to daughter True, 6, and son Tatum, 2, has changed the way she goes about dating. “I just can’t imagine I would bring a man that I’m dating around my kids. So then where do I go to date you? I’m not going to a restaurant where there’s paparazzi and everyone’s going to say we’re getting married next week. I’m not going to your home because what if you kill me? You’re not coming to my home — I have kids! And I’m not going to a hotel — that’s presumptuous. So I’m like, ‘What do you do?'”
Several of Khloé’s loved ones have expressed their concern with her single status, though she insisted that she’s happy to not be attached to anyone. In fact, the Good American founder argued that she doesn’t even have time to date anyone seriously.
“My mom is like, ‘Are you OK?'” she said of Kris Jenner. “She probably thinks I’m going to die like this. But I honestly feel like right now is not the time. My focus is my children, work and me, and I’m so happy. I actually don’t want to share my TV remote with someone. I love my time when I have it.”
Khloé’s last public relationship was with Tristan Thompson, whom she shares her two children with. They dated on and off from 2016 until 2021, and Tristan, 33, was caught cheating several times during their romance. His final cheating scandal was in 2021 when it was revealed that he impregnated Maralee Nichols while he was still dating Khloé.
While Khloé and Tristan’s romance didn’t work out, they have remained in each other’s lives as coparents. However, she has insisted that she has no interest in getting back together with the basketball player.
During a June episode of The Kardashians, Khloé said that the “door is closed” on that relationship. “Are you kidding me? This is life. We all gotta grow up and move on,” she added in a confessional.
