Kylie Kelce Reveals She and Taylor Swift Have Bonded Over Childhood Vacation Spots
Kylie Kelce shared brief insight into her friendship with Taylor Swift, revealing that they bonded over their beloved childhood vacation spots.
During the Wednesday, February 12, episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, host Alex Cooper asked Kylie, 32, about her relationship with Taylor, 35, amid the “But Daddy I Love Him” singer’s romance with Travis Kelce.
Kylie revealed during the conversation that she and Taylor vacationed in similar areas of the New Jersey shores, as they both grew up in nearby Pennsylvania. “We grew up going to the same shore points, so her family [went to] Sea Isle and Stone Harbor,” Kylie told Alex, 30, about Taylor. “That’s the exact areas I grew up going to.”
The mother of three – who is currently pregnant with baby No. 4 – added that she and husband Jason Kelce still love the area, and they purchased a home in Sea Isle in 2022.
Kylie and Taylor have gotten to know each other ever since the “Shake It Off” singer confirmed her romance with Travis, 35, in September 2023. In addition to cheering Travis on at his Kansas City Chiefs games together, Kylie and Jason, 37, have also traveled to different continents to see Taylor perform on her Eras tour before it came to an end in December 2024.
Also during the podcast, Kylie teased how she first learned that Taylor and Travis were dating. After Alex asked if Travis told her and Jason about the romance in a family group chat, she confirmed they “were not” told that way.
“I will say, we knew before everyone else knew but it was not, like … it did not hit the group chat,” she continued, adding that she and Jason “found out together.”
She added, “Jase and I found out together, but we knew before they hard launched with her going to a game.” Fans of the A-list couple will remember that Taylor publicly revealed their romance when she attended the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Chicago Bears game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, on September 24, 2023.
Kylie also reflected on meeting the “How You Get the Girl” singer for the first time when the Chiefs played against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, in January 2024. She confirmed that the game was the first time she and Jason met Taylor in person, noting that some people were “deeply disturbed by this.”
“There was, like, all this stuff leading up to it [the meeting] about, ‘Well, why haven’t they met, they’re avoiding each other.’ I’m not avoiding anyone,” the field hockey coach said. “It was funny to me because I kept saying to people, ‘I didn’t meet Travis for probably close to a year when Jase and I were dating.’”
While Kylie has been sure to keep many aspects of her and Taylor’s friendship private, she previously applauded the pop star for introducing football to a new set of fans. “To see that other young girls are getting involved and that they want to sit down and cheer with their dads or they’re finding their own reason to be interested, it’s only something that can be painted in a positive and exciting light,” she told Glamour in a January 2024 interview. “It’s just another way to encourage girls to appreciate sport.”
