Lana Del Rey’s Friends Are Worried About ‘Impulsive’ Marriage to Husband Jeremy Dufrene
Lana Del Rey is all loved up with new hubby Jeremy Dufrene and planning to jump into his tour guide business now they’re married – but a source exclusively tells Life & Style that skeptical pals fear she may be biting off way more than she can chew in the long term.
“Lana is very impulsive, and she’s always had a thing for older men, so in some ways this isn’t all that out of character, but that doesn’t mean people around her aren’t concerned that she’s jumped into this way too quickly,” an insider tells Life & Style. “By all accounts Jeremy is a decent guy, but it’s still hard to imagine this lasting long term.”
The source adds that “Lana is a hard-core romantic,” and “when she falls in love it’s always very fast and intense, but typically it burns out quickly too.”
“The reality is she and Jeremey come from drastically different worlds, their lives couldn’t be more opposite,” the insider continues. “Sure, she’s having fun now playing house with him on the bayou, but when the novelty wears off, no doubt she’s going to want to go back to her Hollywood life, it’s just unimaginable that she’s going to give up her career long term.”
Despite her inner circle’s hesitation about her marriage to the alligator boat tour guy, the “Young and Beautiful” singer, 39, is “all in right now.”
“So the only thing her friends and family can do is support her in this, because anyone that questions her or this bizarre romance risks getting cut out of her life,” the source concludes.
Lana and Jeremy, 49, tied the knot in late September during a ceremony in Des Allemandes, Louisiana, which happened to be held at the bayou where he runs his popular swamp boat tours.
The wedding took place just one month after the couple sparked relationship rumors when they were spotted holding hands while attending England’s Leeds Festival in August. Lana performed at the event, and a fan took to TikTok to share a video of the couple displaying PDA.
The following month, Lana and Jeremy – who have known each other since 2019 – attended Karen Elson‘s star-studded wedding and were captured holding hands at the celebration.
Despite knowing each other for years, it’s not clear how long they dated before they wed. Lana and Jeremy have done their best to keep their romance out of the spotlight, though The Daily Mail obtained photos from their wedding that took place on September 24.
The “Summertime Sadness” singer stunned in a flowing white wedding gown, and she styled her hair in a curly ponytail that cascaded over one shoulder. Before she met her groom at the altar, Lana walked down the aisle with her father, Robert Grant. Meanwhile, Jeremy looked handsome in a black suit, white dress shirt and brown leather shoes.
Following the ceremony, the reception took place at the public harbor and Lana added a blue bow to her hair that she wore for the remainder of the evening.
