We’ve never seen this side of her — and we’re excited to dive in. Riverdale star Lili Reinhart revealed she will be releasing her very first collection of poetry, and needless to say, we were floored by the prospect of poems by the actress. The 23-year-old explained the decision to publish a book, titled Swimming Lessons, on Instagram on October 9.
“One year ago, I decided I wanted to share my poetry with the world,” she explained. “It’s scary to reveal a part of myself that I don’t often show, but I like to consider this book as more of a story rather than a confession of thought.”
Lili continued, making note of her different sources of inspiration for the collection. “Strangers, songs, films, fictional characters, love in various forms, and of course my own experiences were my inspiration throughout the creation of Swimming Lessons,” she revealed. “This book means a lot to me and I’m very grateful to be in the position to finally share it 🌷 pre-order link is in my bio if you’re so inclined.”
Needless to say, fans and followers flocked to the comments section to share their congrats and well wishes for the sweet star. “[You’re] truly thriving and I’m loving it,” one fan wrote, while another added, “I’m so happy you decided to share your poems with the world. Can’t wait to read it ❤️”
One user even shared some kind words about what an incredible example the actress is for her fans. “You’re so young yet so talented and such a great role model,” they wrote. Too sweet!
The Hustlers star also shared the gorgeous cover art for the upcoming book, which was created by Curt Montgomery, a popular tattoo artist based out of Toronto. “What an absolute massive [honor] it has been to be apart of this amazing collection of poetry works from @lilireinhart,” the inkmaster wrote in his own post commemorating the announcement. “Thank you for your trust and believing in my work 🌹🌹”
We can’t wait to see how the Lili opens her heart to the world in this upcoming poetry collection. Not gonna lie, we’re hoping for at least one love poem for boyfriend Cole Sprouse — fingers crossed!
