It’s no secret that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Lisa Vanderpump has a fairytale marriage. Her relationship with Ken Todd has been looked to as the example of a beautiful union since the couple’s early Bravo TV days. Recently, the reality star told Life & Style and other reporters that, believe it or not, their longtime commitment isn’t always ~diamonds and rosé~.
“Oh gosh, well, every marriage is a challenge, I mean it is,” the 59-year-old revealed at the Vanderpump Dog Foundation Gala on November 21. “You agree and then you don’t and then you kind of slap him.” LOL, we feel you, Lisa — and we bet most wives out there do, too.
She continued by reaffirming that time really does make connections stronger. “We’ve been married forever. I met Ken through my brother who passed last year and we’ve always been very good friends,” she said. “We have the same ideals and the same family values and I guess we’re both religious and we both love animals and we work well together.”
Working well together is practically an understatement for the brunette beauty and her 62-year-old husband. The entrepreneurial couple has owned 36 restaurants and clubs throughout their marriage, all within London and Los Angeles. Plus, the dynamic duo recently opened Vanderpump Cocktail Gardens in Las Vegas and LVP told Life & Style exclusively at BravoCon that another project with Caesars is in the works.
That being said, you might be wondering: Does Lisa ever sleep? “Not very much, I have to say,” she dished. “I don’t sleep as much as I should and if I’m passionate about something I just keep moving forward.”
In fact, during the recent NYC convention, Lisa confirmed she wouldn’t be making an appearance on RHOBH again any time soon because of how dang busy she and her hubby are. “No. I’m too busy,” she said exclusively of what it would take to get her back on the show. “I’m expanding my other restaurant. We’re working hard with Vanderpump Dog Foundation … Vanderpump Rules is a big part of my life. We’re doing a lot already.”
If she keeps doing it with Ken, then we’re all about it!
