It's a sad day in Villa Rosa. Lisa Vanderpump's brother has died in an alleged drug overdose. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reality TV star's only sibling — Mark Vanderpump — was found dead in his home in England at 59 years old.
"This has come to a shock to us all," Lisa, 57, said in a statement obtained by The Daily Mail. "My brother and I had connected the day before this tragedy and I was completely unprepared for this. He was my only sibling and I am shocked and saddened by his passing."
Mark was found on April 30 in his Gloucestershire home and the Vanderpump family has since traveled to England for Mark's services. Lisa, who also stars on the Bravo spin-off show Vanderpump Rules has not posted on social media since the news of her brother's death in April.
Lisa will be traveling across the pond to deal with family matters, and the restauranteur admitted she is staying strong for the family members Mark has left behind — especially his two young children. "I am trying to be supportive to his two young sons that he has left behind, and help them get through this tragedy," Lisa continued in her statement. "We appreciate your consideration in this private and extremely difficult family time."
It has not been disclosed whether or not the overdose has been ruled accidental or intentional. Mark was often seen at Lisa's many restaurants in California — PUMP, Sur, and Villa Blanca — and also frequently took vacations with Lisa and her husband Ken Todd.
But the last time Mark and Lisa were spotted together, eyewitnesses say it was a rather explosive encounter — in public, no less. The siblings were dining in NYC at The Waverly Inn with family when things got so heated, diners seated near by asked to be moved to another table.
"Lisa and her husband Ken and daughter Pandora were eating dinner with her brother Mark and a few others," an insider told Radar Online at the time. "They were all obviously really upset. Lisa and her brother were shouting at each other so that the entire restaurant could hear!"

"At one point, Lisa's brother slammed his hands on the table and screamed, 'Enough is enough!'" the insider continued. Allegedly, Lisa looked extremely "embarrassed" immediately following the scene.
While it's not clear what the argument was about, it's very clear that everyone involved was disturbed. "No one knows what the fight was over but it was obvious that it was very serious because at one point everyone was crying and yelling," the source said.

Besides his career as a DJ, Mark also dabbled in TV like his sister. He appeared on a UK television talk show about sugar daddies, according to The Daily Mail, claiming that he himself was a sugar daddy looking for "a bit of fun." He also appeared in a 2016 documentary called Gold Digger and Proud, in which he admitted to having "lots of girlfriends." "I enjoy the company of women and I'm dating four or five women at a time," he reveale at the time.
