The blowout fight between Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards over the now-infamous “puppygate” scandal lead to these two former friends giving each other the silent treatment. But the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars actually had a run-in recently — only it wasn’t the big reconciliation we hoped it would be.

“I actually ran into Kyle the other day,” the 58-year-old Bravo TV star told Us Weekly at the launch of Baskin-Robbins Mother’s Day Fancy Cone Dessert on Wednesday, May 8. “It was OK.”

Well, that’s definitely not how we hoped the reunion would go between these two longtime pals. The original scathing argument between Lisa and Kyle, 50, was only made worse by Lisa’s husband, Ken Todd, who really got into it with Kyle and eventually threw her out of Villa Rosa (a.k.a. the Vanderpump home, because mansions have names, duh). It definitely left all parties feeling soured by the experience, if this new interaction is anything to go by.

The whole feud started when costar Dorit Kemsley allegedly dropped a puppy off at a kill shelter after adopting it from Lisa’s dog charity, Vanderpump Dogs. From there, several other cast members got involved in the drama, including Teddi Mellencamp and Lisa Rinna, who put the pieces together about LVP being more involved in the drama than she let on.

Since the crazy fight at Villa Rosa, Kyle has expressed her disappointment with not being able to make up with the restauranteur — but it also doesn’t seem like she’s holding her breath either.

“I was looking forward to speaking to her tonight actually,” she told Life & Style exclusively at the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 9 premiere on February 12 and she even said she ” a hundred percent” wanted to reconcile with Lisa.

“I thought, oh, this is a good time because I’ve reached out in other ways, so I thought that tonight with it being season 9, we should be celebrating,” she explained. “I thought it would be a good time to make amends. I saw Ken [Todd] over here, and thought OK, I’ll do the carpet and then go and say hello but she’d already left.”

When asked if she’d reach out again, she got real about the situation: “I have. I mean, how many times can I try?”
