ExclusiveLove Is Blind’s Taylor and Garrett Share Advice for Season 8 Couples: ‘Buckle Up’

Love Is Blind’s Garrett Josemans and Taylor Krause share their advice for couples appearing on season 8 of the reality show during an exclusive video interview with Life & Style.

While discussing their partnership with International Delight, Garrett, 33, urges the stars of season 8 to “buckle up.”

“I would say it’s gonna be a roller-coaster and the most important thing to do is create guardrails for your mental health,” Taylor, 29, adds. “I think [for] every cast member that was on the show, it’s just a lot.”

She continues, “So especially for those that get married, your partner is your number one priority and you can’t really take care of your partner if you’re not taking care of yourself. So, I think just anticipating that it’s gonna be a roller-coaster.”

The couple met and fell in love with filming season 7 of the Netflix show, and they tied the knot in November 2023. While speaking to Life & Style, Garrett and Taylor reflect on their first year of marriage and reveal the most surprising thing they have learned about being married.

“I guess maybe not surprising cause we got married in a very unique and whirlwind way, but we were very independent people [who] lived a very full life and then just pretty much overnight you have a spouse, which is just so different than having a boyfriend or a girlfriend,” Taylor says of the biggest adjustment she experienced after getting married. “So I think that definitely came with its challenges that we had to learn and grow together very quickly in order to make it [work].”

Meanwhile, Garrett adds that he had to learn to let go “of wanting to know where your life” will be in 10 years. “Not having the answer for what it was gonna be in 10 years, I think it was really a hard thing for me in particular to let go of,” he explains, adding that he now has a “greater sense” of “looking forward to this year” and shorter timelines.

“We’re both very plan type A forward people and then we kind of just had to be like … we’re just gonna figure it out,” Taylor adds. “We’re gonna figure it out as we go.”

While Garrett and Taylor are keeping their minds open when it comes to their future, they’re currently busy promoting their partnership with International Delight. The couple has partnered with the brand to celebrate the launch of its limited-edition Love is Blind Creamers and Iced Coffee. In addition to new flavors, International Delight is giving single fans the chance to find someone truly special through its Blind Coffee Date Delivery Contest.

“The blind dating contest is very exciting,” Garrett tells Life & Style about the partnership. “They employed us as matchmakers and I think that’s one of the things that really drew us to it.”
