Love Is Blind’s Tyler Francis and Mother of His Kids Had ‘Issues’ With Child Support, Her Ex Claims
Bri Thomas, the mother of Tyler Francis’ three children, used to complain to her ex-wife, Daeshon, about the Love Is Blind star’s lack of financial involvement in his kids’ lives. Daeshon appeared on a live stream with Jessie Woo and content creator Story Time With Rikkii on Monday, October 21, and discussed Tyler’s parenting controversies.
“When [Bri and I] were in communication, she was complaining about him. The child support – that was an issue from the beginning,” Daeshon claimed. “When we were friends [with him], he showed us his tax returns. [He was] making over six figures. And when the babies came, [Bri] would call me upset, [saying], ‘I asked Tyler for formula, he won’t give it to me,’ and all he has is 50 dollars and ‘that’s not going to do anything.’ So this has been an issue from the beginning. Yes, there’s pictures [of Tyler with the kids], but she’d still call me and say, ‘Tyler is an Instagram dad. He only comes around when there’s a photo opp.’”
Love Is Blind fans were shocked during the October 9 episode when Tyler, 34, revealed to fiancée Ashley Adionser that he had fathered three children. On the show, Tyler claimed he was just a sperm donor for a couple that he knew and claimed to be “uninvolved” in the kids’ lives.
However, on October 10, Bri branded Tyler as a “liar” on her Instagram Story. “Yes, I am the mother of Tyler’s three children. I’m trying really hard to do this the right way, but I have no understanding why he would characterize his relationship with his children as he has,” she wrote. “Especially in consideration of how patient and considerate I’ve been. I guess I have to speak on this, despite trying so hard not to. ‘Sperm babies’ they are not.”
During the live stream, Daeshon explained that Bri suggested the idea of using Tyler as a sperm donor when they were trying to have a baby during their marriage. Daeshon said they tried the “turkey baster” method of artificial insemination two times and it failed. She said when Bri eventually got pregnant with their son, Kyreaux, she was suspicious that her then-wife had cheated on her by sleeping with Tyler to conceive the baby, which Bri denied.
While Bri and Daeshon were going through their divorce, Bri and Tyler went on to conceive twin daughters. The twins were born after “natural unplanned intercourse with absolutely no complexity surrounding parentage,” Bri revealed in an Instagram video on October 19. She also claimed, “Tyler was there with me the entire way, extremely supportive. We went to doctor’s appointments together. We even were living together.”
While Bri confirmed that Tyler was never supposed to be involved in Kyreaux’s life because he was simply “helping” her and Daeshon have a child, she insisted that he was fully a parent to the twins, despite his insinuation to Ashley, 32, that he was nothing more than a sperm donor for all three babies.
Bri said that she and Tyler were “coparenting these children together” until he left to film Love Is Blind in September 2023. “Tyler hasn’t spoken to or seen the kids since September 30, 2023,” she shared. “That was the day before he left for this show. And that’s why I’m so beyond hurt and angry with him about all of this.”
In October 2021, Bri filed a complaint for petition of custody of the children, but the case was settled in May 2022, Life & Style confirmed via court records. However, she filed a petition to reopen the case in January and the next hearing is set for November 15.
Tyler has not shared his side of the story yet but responded to a fan on Instagram who slammed him for wiping his children from his Instagram before appearing on Love Is Blind. “That is not facts. Just be patient, I’ll explain it all very soon,” the reality star shared.
