Love Is Blind’s Tyler Francis’ Criminal History Revealed: Inside 2008 DUI, Reckless Driving Charges

Love Is Blind season 7 star Tyler Francis’ criminal history includes multiple DUI and reckless driving charges stemming from a traffic incident in Arizona in 2008, Life & Style can exclusively confirm.

The reality star, 35, was hit with three counts of misdemeanor DUI charges, including DUI with a BAC of .08 or more, DUI – liquor/drugs/vapors/combo and extreme DUI – BAC of .15 or more on November 30, 2008, according to online records viewed by Life & Style on Tuesday, October 15. Tyler was also charged with reckless driving and exceeding 85 MPH.

All five charges were dismissed on motion or request of the prosecution.

Tyler rose to fame on the latest season of Love Is Blind, where he found love with fiancée Ashley Adionser. However, his appearance on the Netflix show has also been shrouded in controversy, as rumors swirled amid the season’s release that the nuclear security officer had been hiding the fact that he had fathered three children. Tyler then admitted to Ashley, 32, during season 7, episode 9 that he was the biological father of two girls and a boy after becoming a “sperm donor” for a couple he knows.

The news was a huge bombshell to Ashley and Tyler’s relationship, as the marketing expert felt like this was something she should have known before they got engaged.

“[They’re] not ‘your kids,’ but they are your kids,” she told him. “And it’s with someone that you know. Now, that’s what? Three extra kids? Like, that’s wild. Who are these people? I feel like I should know that. ‘Here’s a picture. Here’s this, here’s that.’ I have nothing. You have yet to show me anything. ‘Here are the documents that say I’m uninvolved.’ I need to know everything.”

The mother of Tyler’s children, Bri Thomas, claimed that the reality TV personality lied about how involved he is in their lives.

“‘Sperm babies’ they are not,” she wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post on October 9, later sharing photos of Tyler spending Christmas 2022 with his children.

“My children love their ‘Dad.’ To think that he has reduced them to ‘sperm babies,’ when I was told he was going on the show to be able to better provide for them, is the most absurd and hurtful thing ever. My kids don’t deserve this,” she continued.

Life & Style exclusively confirmed on October 8 that his twin daughters legally dropped his last name months after Love Is Blind was filmed. Bri filed two separate petitions for change of name of a minor on February 6 in Baltimore City Circuit Court, according to court records viewed by Life & Style. The name changes were granted on March 19, and the case was closed.

Bri also filed to reopen Tyler’s child custody case in January, Life & Style confirmed via court records. The case, which was originally filed in October 2021 and settled in May 2022, is now ongoing, with the next disposition hearing scheduled for November 15.

Fans will have to wait and see what happens between Tyler and Ashley when the new episodes of Love Is Blind drop on Wednesday, October 16.
