What a role model! Meghan Markle is all about empowering women, especially moms.

The 38-year-old “wants to change the perception that you have to be skinny to be beautiful,” according to a royal source who spoke to Us Weekly. A previous insider told the outlet that Meghan wants to be a representation for moms all around. “It’s not easy to lose the weight, but she’s happy to be a realistic example for new mothers,” the insider said. They also added that the duchess, 37, is “adjusting to motherhood and really happy.” We can totally see that!

Despite being super busy with her three-month-old son, Archie, whom she shares with husband Prince Harry, the duchess is using her platform to make sure women making a difference are seen. The former actress worked with British Vogue as their first-ever guest editor to highlight women, such as Michelle Obama, Laverne Cox, Salma Hayek, Jane Fonda and more. However, Meghan also made sure to include her fans in the process.

“For the cover, The Duchess chose a diverse selection of women from all walks of life, each driving impact and raising the bar for equality, kindness, justice and open-mindedness,” read a post shared by Meghan and Harry’s joint Instagram account, Royal Sussex. “The sixteenth space on the cover, a mirror, was included so that when you hold the issue in your hands, you see yourself as part of this collective.”

Aside from collaborating with the prestigious magazine, Meghan is also launching a clothing line that will benefit women in the workplace. “After quiet visits to Smartworks over the last year, the Duchess was moved by the impactful work being done by this nonprofit organization that helps women into the workforce, equipping them with both the skills and clothes they need to feel job-ready,” read another post shared by the royal’s Instagram.
