Not a fan! Melissa Joan Hart revealed that she is not into the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Monday, March 25. “I don’t think it really appeals to me,” the blonde beauty admitted on E!’s show Daily Pop. The 42-year-old confessed that she is too old for the show and that her kids are too young for it. However, she is happy that the character is being watched by a new generation of teenagers.

In November 2018, the mom-of-three had a different attitude about the series. “I think it’s great,” she told E! News at the time. “It’s kind of like a sisterhood when you play the same characters I think, and probably the way the James Bond guys feel, or something, different level, but you know. But I think it’s great, you know, they are doing something very different. I think if the shows were similar, I might be a little like, ‘Oh, that hurts.’ But it’s totally different.”

Sabrina the Teenage Witch ran on ABC from 1996 to 2003, and the New York native played the main character, Sabrina Spellman.

To celebrate the first season of the supernatural show, Melissa and her former costars Nate Richert, Beth Broderick and Caroline Rhea recorded a special message for the new cast members. “So tomorrow, the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina drops on Netflix,” Melissa said in October 2018. “And I just wanted to send my best witches to Kiernan Shipka a.k.a. the new Sabrina Spellman. By the way, from one Sabrina to the other … if you’re ever given a choice between a broom and a vacuum, choose the vacuum.”

Nate, who played Sabrina’s high school sweetheart Harvey Kinkle, also gave some advice. “I just wanted to say hello the new Harvey, Ross Lynch,” he said. “I hear the new Sabrina is scarier and pretty damn twisted. I’m rooting for you, buddy. Stay alive!”

Before the reboot premiered, the Drive Me Crazy star revealed that she wasn’t asked to make a cameo. Now, it seems like that ship has sailed! BRB, crying.
