From The Situation to The Inspiration to The Incarceration, Jersey Shore star Mike Sorrentino has gone through quite a few nicknames in his lifetime. That said, y’all can go ahead and nix that last one… for the time being, anyway. According to Radar Online, the 36-year-old doesn’t have to report to prison for tax evasion until 2019.

“The defendant shall surrender to the custody of Bureau of Prisons no earlier than January 15, 2019, or as soon thereafter as the Bureau of Prisons shall designate,” court papers obtained by the outlet stated. “It is further ordered that the Defendant shall surrender to the custody of the Bureau of Prisons at a location to be designated by the Bureau of Prisons.”

ICYMI: On Oct. 5, news broke that Mike was sentenced to eight months in prison on tax evasion charges. Sadly, his brother Marc received two years — but will also have until Jan. 15 to surrender.

Just hours following the reality star’s sentencing, Mike took to Instagram to share a message with fans, thanking them for their support. “We are very happy to put this behind us. Thank you so much for all the love [and] support,” he wrote in the caption of a series of photos taken outside the courthouse before and after his sentencing.

Mike’s Jersey Shore Family Vacation co-starsJenni “JWoww” Farley, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Deena Cortese, Angelina Pivarnick, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, and Vinny Guadagnino all attended the hearing in Newark, NJ — and of course, Mike’s ride-or-die fiancée, Lauren Pescewas right by his side as well.

Thankfully, Mike and his bride-to-be now have more time to spend together following their upcoming November nuptials. After all, driving your newly minted hubby to the slammer is hardly the honeymoon every girl dreams of, right? Congrats to them both for this little gift from the justice system.
