Nikki Bella Reveals the Many Ways Boyfriend Artem Chigvintsev Supports Her: ‘He Lets Me Be Me’
When it comes to enviable celebrity relationships, Nikki Bella and her boyfriend, Artem Chigvintsev, most definitely top the list. Not only does the couple look ridiculously in love (at all times), but they’re also incredibly supportive of each other. “He lets me be me,” the WWE wrestler, 35, gushed to Life & Style and other reporters on the red carpet of Girl Up’s #GirlHero Awards on Sunday, October 13.
“I don’t know if you’ve ever been in those relationships where you walk on eggshells and you feel like you fully can’t be your truth because that person might get up and leave you. I can have the drunkest night and be mean — which is not a good thing — but that man will be by my side the next morning to talk about it,” Nikki continued. “Or I could just have a day with no makeup [and he will] look at me and tell me how pretty I am.”
It sounds like Nikki has snagged herself quite the impressive beau! “I could fail my businesses or succeed and whatever it is, Artem is always there to support me and make me feel like I’m literally the only girl in the world,” she expressed. “I mean, like the attention of what he gives me with my soul, with my personal life, my business life … I have never met anyone who’s so supportive and I have no fear that he’s ever going to leave me for my imperfections, which is so amazing.”
Amazing, indeed! Question is, with things going so well between Nikki and the former Dancing with the Stars pro, 37, do they plan on taking their commitment to the next level — ahem, marriage. Unfortunately, due to Nikki’s past with ex John Cena, she’s not ready to walk down the aisle just yet … but rest assured, she’s working on it.
“I’ll admit, having a public breakup can scar you,” the Total Bellas star confessed of her split from John, 42, in May 2018. “It scarred me a lot and that’s why at times, I’ll post Artem and then I won’t for a while. It scarred me about marriage, it scarred me about kids. Like, it’s two things that I really wanted in my life and no, I’m so timid of it, which kind of sucks,” Nikki added. “But I definitely have those scars and I’m working on healing them and doing work on myself weekly. It’s great to have a man that will do the work with me.”
