Olivia Rodrigo Takes Hard Fall Into Hole on Stage at Melbourne Concert: ‘That Was Fun, I’m OK’

She tripped and fell … into the stage. Olivia Rodrigo gave her fans a scare at her concert in Melbourne, Australia, when she fell into a hole in the floor.

The “Driver’s License” hitmaker, 21, was running on stage during her fourth and final Guts world tour concert at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Monday, October 14, when she stumbled through a large trap door that was left open to reveal a gaping hole in the stage floor, as seen in fan footage shared on X.

Though Olivia appeared to fall fairly hard into the hole, she got back up quickly and even cracked a few jokes about the mishap.

“Oh my god, that was fun! I’m OK,” the pop star said as she climbed back out of the hole. “Sometimes there’s just a hole in the stage. That’s alright. OK, where was I? How are we doing tonight, Melbourne?!”

Olivia made light of the situation again by sharing a fan-edited video of the fall on TikTok with playful music and the caption, “#SubtleForeshadhowing,” referencing a current trend on the social media platform. In a comment, she added with a red heart emoji, “I am OK hahaha.”

While many people might have found the moment ~embarrassing as hell~, Olivia handled it like a true pro. Her fans applauded her reaction to the accident.

“She handled that so well omg,” one fan wrote on X, while another user added, “If that happened to me I’d just stay down there and cry.”

“Hope she’s doing alright! Stages can be tricky sometimes, but I’m sure she’s a pro and will bounce back strong,” a third person wrote on X.

“That must’ve been a hard fall for Olivia Rodrigo, hope she’s okay and recovers quickly!” another fan commented.

Olivia has already proven in the past that she knows how to recover from an awkward moment on stage. During her May 14 concert in London, the former Disney Channel star was in the middle of performing her song “Love Is Embarrassing” when she stood up from a kneeling position and noticed that the back of her bra top had popped open.

Instead of pausing the tune, Olivia kept singing and held her hand over the leather top as she gestured to her backup dancer for help. Unfortunately, the dancer was unable to tie the top back up in time for Olivia to move to her next position on stage. The pop star was so dedicated to her craft that she ended up running to her next spot with her top still loose.

These two concerts were originally set to take place this May, but they were rescheduled due to technical issues at the venue.
