So sweet! Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry have a very old-school way of keeping the romance alive in their relationship — adorable handwritten notes. The couple got engaged on February 14 and seem more in love than ever. How do they do it? The studly actor revealed one tip while at the premiere of Carnival Row at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on August 21.

“We have a blackboard and we write messages of love,” the 42-year-old admitted to ET. Considering Katy, 34, comments things like “I’m sweating” and “I’m foaming at the mouth” on her future hubby’s Instagram photos, we can only imagine what hilarious (and super sexy) things she writes in the privacy of her own home.

It’s no secret that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor is a total romantic. The “Swish, Swish” artist recalled the story of how he proposed and it was straight out of a romance novel — with a few funny bumps along the way. “It was Valentine’s Day … I thought we were going to go see some art after dinner, but instead, we pulled up to a helicopter,” she told Jimmy Kimmel during an interview on February 26. While they were up in the air, the Elizabethtown star gave her a heartfelt note to read while he dug the ring out of his coat pocket. Unfortunately, the box was a bit too big and got stuck.

Her unique ring features a massive pink stone surrounded by a halo of diamonds — which could be worth up to $2 million, an expert exclusively dished to Life & Style. Our point? Orlando needed a bigger pocket. He ended up ripping his coat and knocking over a champagne bottle in the process, but it ended with a yes from Katy. “We did land and it was like James Bond, everybody had an earpiece. And then, we [went] downstairs … and my whole family was there and all my friends. He did so well,” the “Teenage Dream” artist gushed.

Keep love alive, you two!
