Paris Hilton Claps Back at Claims She Has ‘No Relationship’ With Daughter London: ‘She Is 1 Year Old’
Paris Hilton is shutting down the mom-shamers once again. This time, the socialite clapped back at claims that she has “no relationship” with her daughter, London.
The This Is Paris star, 44, took to her TikTok with a video of her baby girl, 16 months, surrounded by purses scattered on the floor on Tuesday, March 4.
“Hi, Princess! Are you getting into my purses?” Paris asked. She then walked over to her daughter and began pulling out handbags to give to London to play with.
“London’s breaking into my purse collection already,” she captioned the post. “Love getting her opinions on my latest designs for my handbag collection.”
Though the video appeared to show a sweet mother-daughter moment, haters in the comments believed it looked too stiff.
“Why do I feel like there is absolutely NO relationship between them?” one user asked, while another wrote, “She’s looking at her like she doesn’t even know her.”
“I don’t see any bond between them,” a third user commented.
Others came to Paris’ defense, with one person writing, “Hate all the negative comments … young children developing language need the constant input she’s giving to learn what convos look like. Doing great mama!”
The Simple Life alum responded, “Seriously, she is one year old, she is just learning to talk. Some people are just hateful individuals.”
Paris thanked another user who commented, “I thought it was sweet you kept showing her more and kept engaging with her, that’s how they learn! The negativity here is unnecessary. You’re doing great.”
Paris welcomed London via surrogate with husband Carter Reum in November 2023 and announced the news on Instagram. “Thankful for my baby girl,” she wrote alongside a photo of a baby girl’s pink outfit featuring “London” embroidered on the shirt. The couple is also parents to son Phoenix, 2, whom they also welcomed via surrogate in January 2023.
Paris has been very responsive when it comes to comments about her parenting journey. While she’s occasionally hit back at the criticism, she has also been receptive to fans making suggestions for how to keep her kiddos safe. For example, in August 2024, the mom of two addressed fans’ concerns over Phoenix not wearing a life jacket while on a boat exploring a sunreef catamaran.
“Hey Mamma’s, thank you for the advice & always caring about my #CutesieCrew,” she wrote in a TikTok comment at the time. “It’s a big boat & my husband and I are following him around everywhere & watching like hawks. My babies are my world!”
And back in May 2024, the Paris: The Memoir author shared a video of her kids strapped into car seats in a minivan. However, many fans noticed that the car seats were facing the wrong way and not strapped correctly. Paris quickly deleted the video, corrected the car seats and made another post.
“The Cutesie Crew is ready to go,” she said in the video. “We are all strapped in. We Are in the Sliving Mom Van. … Thanks guys!”
In the caption, Paris added, “Thanks for the mom advice, I’m new to this. The #CutesieCrew is now ready for take off in the #SlivingMom van.”
