Royal wedding lovers, rejoice! Princess Beatrice and her fiance, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, will be tying the knot in the spring!

“The wedding of HRH Princess Beatrice of York and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi will take place on Friday 29 May 2020,” The Royal Family’s official Instagram account wrote on Friday, February 7. “The couple became engaged in Italy in September 2019. The Queen has kindly given permission for the ceremony to take place at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace. The ceremony will be followed by a private reception, given by The Queen, in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.”

While neither Beatrice nor Edoardo has yet to comment on setting the date and location for their big day, we’re sure they’re over the moon. Besides, based on their statement regarding their engagement in September, they’re made for each other. “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement,” they said at the time. “We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married. We share so many similar interests and values and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.”

We wouldn’t be surprised if the couple goes all out for their wedding, especially considering that’s exactly what Edoardo did when he proposed with a stunning, over-the-top ring. The remarkable gem is “estimated cost is $30,000 to $50,000,” Alicia Davis, Shane Co.’s VP of Merchandise, exclusively divulged to Life & Style. “The brilliant round diamond looks to be about 2.5 carats set in a 6-prong platinum setting flanked by two smaller round diamonds and a baguette on either side.”

Beatrice and Edoardo’s  wedding will be the first royal wedding since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot in May 2018. A year later, they welcomed their first child — son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. It’s unlikely Harry and Meghan will attend Beatrice’s wedding, now that they’ve stepped down as senior royals. Regardless of the guest list, we’re sure it will be something out of a fairytale for Beatrice and her Prince Charming.
