The UK’s second royal wedding of the year is shaping up to be even more dramatic (and lavish) than the first. Life & Style has exclusively learned that Princess Eugenie is absolutely “determined to outdo” Meghan Markle “on every level — from the dress to the celebrity guests.” Good luck with that, Eug!

As we all know, Meghan’s May nuptials to Prince Harry were some of the most beautiful the monarchy has ever seen. However, the 28-year-old royal has some tricks up her sleeve. Like the newly minted Duchess of Sussex, Eugenie is marrying at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. However, she’s invited far more people — 850 to Meghan’s 650, to be exact!

Her A-list guests include Ed Sheeran, Kate Moss, and Ellie Goulding — plus 1,200 members of the public. Eugenie has also reportedly considered designer Stella McCartney, along with Victoria and David Beckham’s wedding planner, and Elton John’s personal florist to execute her wedding day vision. Needless to say, she doesn’t want anyone stealing her thunder. In fact, “if [Eugenie] had her way, she wouldn’t even invite Meghan!” an insider revealed.

Some senior royals, on the other hand, wish they could disinvite Eugenie’s divorced scandal-magnet mom, Sarah Ferguson. Their concern is that Fergie is “going to embarrass herself,” adding that “she loves being the center of the attention,” the insider explained. “[Fergie] is insisting on doing a speech, which Queen Elizabeth is against. It wouldn’t be surprising if the day ends in tears.”

Well, not for nothing, but that sounds like a total royal disaster. At least Meghan had the good sense to leave her embarrassing relatives, ahem, Thomas and Samantha, back in the US. Now we can’t wait to see how Eugenie’s wedding sizes up!
