Not for nothing, but it seems like Sebastian Stan is almost as shocked as we were to find out that his friend, Stranger Things star David Harbour and singer Lily Allen are dating. In fact, the Avengers actor told Life & Style exclusively about how he had to do a little googling to figure out more about the interesting couple. Hey, sometimes you gotta do research!

When asked what his last internet search was, the 37-year-old was totally honest. “I googled David Harbour,” he had a laugh with LS exclusively at the Skin Cancer Foundation’s Champions for Change Gala. “Well, someone told me he’s seeing Lily Allen and I was like ‘Lily Allen! I haven’t seen or heard of her for a minute.’ So, on my way here I actually googled that.”

In fact, he specifically looked up the dating info to make sure he was ~up to date~ on the 44-year-old’s romantic sitch. “I wanted to make sure I got his girlfriend right, because you know, I haven’t seen him in a while so I don’t know what he’s been up to,” Seb explained. Talk about a good friend right there!

To be fair, the coupling is fairly new, so we’re not surprised the Winter Soldier hunk wasn’t on the up and up. The English singer, 34, split from her long-term boyfriend, MC Meridian Dan, back in January. By July, David had also broken up with his alleged girlfriend, Alison Sudol, according to Us Weekly. Soon after, the now-couple was spotted on what seemed to be their first date in August, attending a performance of The Lehman Trilogy at the Piccadilly Theatre in London.

Later that month, a fan spotted them together at a boxing match. “When on earth did this happen!?” the fan captioned a photo of the duo laughing on Twitter. “I’m baffled! Hahaaa #LilyAllen Thought I knew all the gossip!”

In October, David brought Lily to the SNL afterparty after following his hosting duties at the variety sketch show — plus, the brunette beauty even made a thirsty Instagram post about the actor’s late-night performance. She posted a screengrab of David’s arms from a sketch about SoulCycle and wrote “Mine” next to his bulging abs.

Since then, there has been PDA galore between these two and it seems like things are heating up. Well, Seb … now you know!
