Lovebirds! Flip or Flop star Tarek El Moussa gushed about his girlfriend, Heather Rae Young, in an exclusive interview with Life & Style — and he reveals his “favorite thing” about her personality.

“She genuinely cares about me,” the 38-year-old says. “[She] has concerns for me and wants the best for me, so she’s very supportive, which I’ve never experienced someone that’s extremely supportive the way that Heather is supportive of me.”

Considering both Tarek and Heather, 32, are involved in real estate and reality TV, their shared experiences only strengthen their bond. “She understands what I go through on a daily basis, she helps bring my stress down, she talks through things with me and she’s just my best friend!” he adds.

Those aren’t the only qualities he likes about his lady, though. Tarek is a father of two — he shares daughter Taylor and son Brayden with his ex-wife, Christina Anstead — and he loves the way they get along with Heather.

“It’s the best thing ever!” he previously revealed to Life & Style. “You know, as a single dad I was so concerned about bringing someone around and you know — the relationship between Heather and the kids — I couldn’t ask for a better one,” Tarek added. “They adore her, she adores them. They laugh, they play, they get along great! It’s just really comforting.”

Heather and Tarek went public with their romance in August 2019, and have been going strong since. So much, in fact, that they began living together right away. “We moved in the first week,” he previously shared with Life & Style. “Our future’s very bright, and I see us taking the next steps toward being more serious. But at this point in time, I’ve been like, ‘Today, nothing is planned.’ In the future, I’m sure!”

Tarek’s new series Flipping 101w/Tarek El Moussa will premiere on Thursday, March 5th at 9/8c on HGTV and he’ll be appearing on an upcoming Extreme Makeover: Home Edition episode on Sunday, March 15th at 9 ET/PT.
