Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez Have ‘Giggly’ Girls’ Night Out Ahead of Super Bowl 2025
Reunited! Taylor Swift and longtime pal Selena Gomez had a “giggly” girls night out in Los Angeles before the pop superstar heads to New Orleans, Louisiana, to watch boyfriend Travis Kelce play in Super Bowl LIX.
Taylor, 35, and Selena, 32, hit up Negroni Caffe Bar in Beverly Hills, California, on Tuesday, February 4, a source told Page Six on Thursday, February 6.
“It was just the two of them and their security guards,” a restaurant spokesperson told the outlet, adding that the duo sat together in a bar-adjacent booth. “They were very sweet, giggly with each other and having fun,” the rep shared.
Taylor reportedly loved her cacao old fashioned from their cocktail list. The bar’s mixologist, Wyatt Heath, took to Instagram to share his experience of making the drink for the “Lavender Haze” singer while sharing how “kind” she was.
“I can’t believe I got to serve The London Boy to Taylor Swift herself! Life is such an amazing experience,” he gushed in a February 6 post showing a photo of the cocktail he prepared. The bar’s old fashioned shares the same name as Taylor’s song off her 2019 album, Lover.
Wyatt had a serious Swiftie moment, adding, “Halsey once said, ‘Don’t meet your heroes, they’re all f–king weirdos.’ But she was wrong. I got to meet my idol and she was as kind as she is stunning!”
He later added in an Instagram Story that the “Lonely Muse” cocktail was “Selena approved,” along with a photo of the drink.
Negroni’s spokesperson said the duo “really liked” their tuna crispy rice and “raved” to the servers about their entrées. Staff made sure Taylor and Selena’s area was kept “low key” and fans didn’t intrude on their night out.
The ladies were “able to relax and enjoy themselves without feeling like anybody was intruding their privacy.”
The restaurant spokesperson said Taylor and Selena were “very kind and conversational” with employees. “They were open to talking to us and not brushing us off, so that was really nice to see.”
While their bill at the end of the evening was that of an average customer, the rep noted the stars tipped “very generously.”
Taylor and Selena’s friendship dates back to 2008, and the Only Murders in the Building star has been one of the Grammy winner’s closest friends over the years as they both shot to superstardom,
The “Cruel Summer” singer celebrated Selena’s announcement that she was engaged to boyfriend Benny Blanco while offering to be part of the wedding party.
The Emilia Pérez star shared a photo of her diamond engagement ring and wrote, “Forever begins now,” in a December 11, 2024, Instagram post. In the comments, Taylor quipped, “Yes I will be the flower girl.” Fans went wild for the idea, as the comment has garnered 1.9 million “likes” as of February 7.
Taylor is expected to arrive in New Orleans prior to the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 9. She’ll be cheering on Travis, 35, and the Chiefs as they attempt to achieve the first-ever three-peat in football’s biggest game. Kansas City goes up against the Philadelphia Eagles for the second time in three years. The two teams played in the 2023 Super Bowl, where the Chiefs pulled off a fourth quarter rally to win 38-35.
In 2024, the “Anti-Hero” singer filled her suite with celebrity pals when the Super Bowl took place at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium. Fans are eagerly waiting to see which of Taylor’s famous friends will be present in her suite for Super Bowl LIX.
