‘Total Divas’ Stars Naomi and Lana Meet the Cast of Netflix’s ‘GLOW’ on WWE’s ‘SmackDown Live’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Worlds collide! WWE Superstars Lana and Naomi both have a lot in common with the characters on Netflix’s hit original series GLOW, so it would make sense that they would all get along well if they ever had the chance to meet. Now, ahead of the GLOW Season 2 premiere, the cast stopped by during this week’s installment of the WWE’s SmackDown Live and they actually got to meet Lana and Naomi for the first time — and they taught the the Total Divas stars a thing or two about women’s empowerment. While hanging out backstage, Lana and Naomi were arguing over who had the best dance moves during their dance off. Things were getting a little heated between the two, and that’s when GLOW stars Alison Brie, Sydelle Noel, Shakira Barrera, Kimmy Gatewood, Rebekka Johnson, Britt Baron, and Jackie Tohn walked up — and Naomi and Lana were so excited to finally meet them.
“Well, I have to tell you,” Naomi told Alison. “I love to despise your Russian character on the show, Zoya the Destroyer. Reminds me of our Lana here.”
Naomi was right, there are certain silimarities between Lana and Alison’s wrestling persona — they both can be considered Ravishing Russians! But Alison’s co-stars pointed out that there should be no bad blood between Lana and Naomi, because they’re both very talented in their own ways and they would be stronger if they would just work together — just like the ladies of GLOW worked together on the show — and Naomi agreed.
“I will give you this — you are a good dancer,” Naomi told Lana. “And maybe if we could get on the same page, I don’t know, we can be ravishing together and snatch some opponents bald, and then everyone will feel the glow.”
