Vicki Gunvalson Speaks Out After Predicting Meghan and Jim Edmonds’ Split: ‘My Heart Hurts for Her’

Blast From the Past

After news of Meghan, 35, and Jim’s split broke on October 25, some Bravo fans recalled a moment on the show where Vicki, 57, predicted the two would call it quits within the next few years.

Nostalgia Alert

As viewers may remember, Vicki and Meghan were in a heated dispute when she said the remark. “Jim, talk to me in five years when you’re divorced,” Vicki yelled during the episode which aired in 2015.

Showing Support

“I feel bad for him; he’s in a bad situation,” the reality star continued. Vicki seemed to have a change in heart over the next two years, because she later left a supportive comment on a tweet that Meghan posted.

Good Times

When Meghan addressed how Vicki’s timeline was almost up, the reality star responded, “I think I actually gave it [five], and then retracted because it appears you and Jimmy are very happy!”

Public Struggles

Unfortunately, the couple did end up going through some very public struggles in June 2019. At that time, Jim, 49, confirmed that he “engaged in an inappropriate conversation” with another woman.

Relationship Woes

After hearing the news, Vicki extended another olive branch to Meghan while taking to Twitter. “I’m so sorry. You are right, YOU did not deserve this,” she wrote to the mother of three.

Parting Ways

Even though Meghan and Jim were trying to work on their marital issues with counseling, it was confirmed they called it quits on Friday, October 25.

Working Together

Just one day before, Meghan opened up about how the sexting scandal impacted her relationship. “I think after such a breach of trust, it’s so hard to rebuild from there,” she admitted on The Daily Dish.

Shocking Claims

Adding more fuel to the fire, the former MLB athlete was accused of cheating on Meghan with a different woman who happens to be a longtime employee. She and Jim have both denied the allegations.

Now, Vicki is speaking out about Jim and Meghan’s split after making her prediction several years ago.

“While I did say on the show that I predicted Meghan and Jim’s marriage would last five years, I, of course, never really wanted that to come true and certainly didn’t think by putting it out there the way I did that it would be an omen of any sort,” she tells Life & Style exclusively.

“If you remember back during the time I said that, Meghan had come on the show and she was not very nice to me at all. She came on trying to make a name for herself by taking my relationship with you know who, tearing it down, and trying to claim that I was in on a cancer scam,” Vicki added.

Sharing Her Story

“Yes, I chose the wrong man to date and, yes, at the time I stood by him because I believed what he was telling me was the truth,” the reality star continued.

Previous Disputes

“We were able to move on from that which is great, however, I want the best for her and don’t like to see her hurting and my heart hurts for her and her three babies,” Vicki continued.

Moving Forward

“She is a young woman who went and had children with him and that will only add to the toughness of this situation,” the TV personality exclusively tells Life & Style.

A New Chapter Begins

The Bravo alum said she’s been through a divorce herself and noted how the process can get “ugly.” Vicki continued, “They are already in the press going back and forth and, as someone who went through a very public divorce, it’s only going to get worse before the dust starts to settle.”

The reality star said her “heart truly goes out to Meghan during this tough time,” regardless of their past differences. “I hope that, with time, she will find peace and happiness again.”
