Meghan King Edmonds Responds to Mom Shamers Criticizing Her for Not Clothing Her Daughter at Home
When it comes to her kids, Meghan King Edmonds is often vocal, and we don’t blame her. The 34-year-old got mommy shamed after posting a photo of her daughter, Aspen, wearing minimal clothing at home. However, the Real Housewives of Orange County star had the perfect response for the haters.
“She’s rarely clothed at home and I don’t discourage it. If my parenting makes you uncomfortable, please ask yourself ‘why?'” she captioned the photo of her daughter seemingly naked poolside with a flamingo GIF covering her. Yes, Meg! Kill them with kindness.
It’s been a difficult few months for the blonde beauty, but she’s remaining strong. In early July, she took to a personal blog post to reveal her son Hart’s heartbreaking brain damage diagnoses. “From the minute he was born I knew something was different with Hart,” she began her post. “The nurses struggled to straighten his legs to measure his length. He suckled hard, shallow and often until I bled and he spit up black.”
She explained that she took Hart to various doctors but they all failed to properly diagnose him until now. “Hart has minor Periventricular Leukomalacia on both sides of his brain (namely the white matter), but more so on his right,” she continued.
“[The neurologist] said that this explains all of my concerns: the rigidity in his muscles, the (somewhat) delayed physical milestones, the lack of fluidity with arm and leg movements, the stiffness in joints, the weakness in his lower back, the somewhat favored use of his right side,” she added. “Hart has irreversible brain damage, it’s called PVL.”
From there, Meghan said that she and husband Jim Edmonds reunited for the sake of their son. The two were having problems after news broke that he was involved in a cheating scandal with another woman. We wish you the best, Meghan!
