Candid confession. In a sneak peek of the Tuesday, August 13, Bachelor in Paradise episode, Blake Horstmann reveals he visited Hannah Godwin in her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, right before they jetted down to Mexico.
“How soon before Paradise did you fly out to see Hannah?” Kristina Schulman asked the 30-year-old hunk. “A week before Paradise,” he responded.
According to Reality Steve, the two planned the trip because they were interested in one another. Hannah’s other love interest Dylan Barbour even questioned the chemistry between the 24-year-old and the Colorado native. “Did they date before this or something?” he said on the Monday, August 12, episode after Blake and Hannah kissed and danced right in front of him on the beach. Caelynn Miller-Keyes also claimed that Blake was DMing Hannah after they spent the night together at the Stagecoach Festival in California.
Dylan, 25, has made it clear that he into the Alabama native since the beginning of Paradise season 6, but Blake has been vying for Hannah’s heart as well. Blake stole Hannah away during one episode where they shared a kiss. However, according to the gossip outlet, once the blonde beauty, 24, learns of Blake’s love triangle between Kristina, 26, Caelynn, 24, and Tayshia, 28, she moves onto other suitors.
Blake got Bachelor Nation all riled up during the premiere of Paradise after Caelynn revealed she had sex with him one night after he slept with Kristina. As the episodes aired, Blake took to Instagram to share his side of the story. “I want to get the truth out,” he wrote on August 6. “I was not able to defend myself down in paradise because [I] and most of the beach had no idea the things Caelynn was saying in her interviews. … Caelynn and I were NEVER in a relationship. I NEVER ghosted Caelynn, and I NEVER called her a mistake, and I absolutely NEVER, EVER, EVER silenced Caelynn.”
Blake continued to share screenshots of alleged texts between the pair. “This is the last thing I wanted to do, but my name and character are being attacked,” he added. “My name is all I have. Most of all, it is the only real way to prove that what is being said by Caelynn and the story that is being shown is far from the truth.”
On August 7, Caelynn released a statement about her drama with Blake. “I am not here to deny those text messages or the conversations that took place,” she wrote. “Things got taken out of context on the show, and a large part of the story is missing. The reality of the situation is that Blake was not a one night stand at a music festival and the 5 a.m. text exchange that Blake chose to share is not an accurate representation of our past relationship.”
The former beauty queen ended the message on a positive note. “I hope that we can all move forward and support one another rather than tear each other down,” she said. “I have moved on, and I am excited to continue to share the rest of my journey with you all.”
Guess we will have to wait and see what else happens between Hannah and Blake — and his other ladies!
Bachelor in Paradise airs on ABC Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
