You OK, Bachelor Nation? ABC dropped a hint about a possible Bachelor spinoff coming and we apparently won’t have a free Monday night until we’re dead. The network already has three shows — The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise — running throughout the year so it will be interesting how they’re able to stack another one on. Will Chris Harrison ever get a break?

“There’s an extension to the Bachelor franchise coming,” ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke teased during an interview with The Wrap. “We have to be careful not to dilute a brand because you can get carried away, but not looking at that would be silly.”

So, what would this possible spinoff be? Obviously, it would most likely deal with people looking for love but (hopefully) it would have a unique angle to it.

The franchise has tried multiple things in the past, but none of them quite stuck. Back in 2018, Bachelor Winter Games skated into our hearts (literally). The show gathered Bachelor Nation members from all over the world to compete in multiple physical activities while trying to stir up romance. Some fan favorites on the cast included Ashley Iaconetti, Dean Unglert, Bibiana Julian and Kevin Wendt.

Bachelor Pad had three seasons that ran from 2010 to 2012. It was a bit more of a cutthroat format where contestants eliminated each other week after week for a cash prize of $250,000 — Think Bachelor meets Big Brother. The show was not renewed for a fourth season and was actually replaced by Paradise the following year.

Considering Hannah Brown‘s season scored the highest ratings in the last two years, there’s no sign of their flagship shows leaving anytime soon. The franchise already announced on August 5 that Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise are renewed for 2020.

Time will tell what new show will grace our television screens. Until then, top of mind is who will be the next leading man on The Bachelor? From Mike Johnson to Peter Weber, there are some seriously strong contenders.

We can’t wait!
