Good tea, Chris Harrison! The famed host made it clear that Tyler Cameron, a favorite contestant from Hannah Brown‘s season, may have blown his chances at becoming the next Bachelor after his date with Gigi Hadid. The reality star and model were spotted out in New York City on August 4 on the heels of Tyler being photographed leaving Hannah’s house after staying the night on August 2.

“If Tyler is bouncing around from girl to girl and loving the life and enjoying the limelight, which, by the way, good on him. That’s fine. If that’s what you want to do right now, I don’t blame him,” Chris dished to Entertainment Tonight on August 5. “He’s probably enjoying life really, really well — but that’s not someone we’re going to want to have as our Bachelor or Bachelorette.”

The show host noted that they want leads who are ready to settle down and get hitched. “So, it’s about sincerity. It’s about where you are in your life. And if that’s where he is in his life, then he’s not the guy for us,” he added.

It’s no secret that the show waits a large chunk of time before announcing the next leading man. Part of that is to make sure they’re selecting someone who’s ~there for the right reasons.~

Chris continued, “[This is] why we’re waiting [to announce who it is]. Let’s see how these guys react. Let’s see who really is sincere at the end of the day, because we do have a couple of months before we have to start production and really get into this, so we have time.”

It’s also possible that Tyler just isn’t interested in looking for love on reality TV … again. A source exclusively revealed to Life & Style that he and Gigi were seemingly having a blast together. “Tyler and Gigi were hanging out on the rooftop. It was definitely first date vibes and you can tell he seemed a little nervous,” the insider noted.

Time will tell who takes the reigns as the newest Bachelor.
