“Thanks for all the love so far on my ‘Year of Health’ journey,” the 40-year-old actress gushed on Instagram. “When I was reaching for the candies last night after dinner I thought to myself, ‘Hmmmm … better not’ and had a bottle of water instead. 8 [kilograms] to go until I hit my goal — Hopefully I can do it by the end of the year.” 8 kilograms converts to about 18 pounds.
It seems the starlet has been all about her health and fitness journey over the last few months. In August, she’s shown off photos of herself on a late-night run and looking slim rocking a gorgeous yellow dress. In July, the Workaholics alum share snaps of herself in form-fitting athleisure looks, getting her sweat on while boxing and even sporting a sexy bikini.
“Even if you have to crawl towards your goals, keep going,” the Isn’t It Romantic star wrote on Instagram in May. “It will be worth it. Try and give a little bit of effort each day.” The Jojo Rabbit star then explained to fans she made it her “mission” to drop down to “75 [kilograms]” or 165 pounds.
“I know some days are frustrating as hell, you feel like giving up, you get annoyed at the lack of progress, but good things are coming your way,” the A-lister added. “Both of these things are requiring a daily effort and there’s constant setbacks, but I’m working hard.”
Rebel first revealed her “Year of Health” journey and goals on New Year’s Day, after allowing herself the freedom to indulge on treats and comfort food throughout the holiday season.
“I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food, which is going to be hard after the holidays I’ve just had but I’m going to do it!” she revealed to fans on Instagram in January 2020. “Who’s with me in making some positive changes this year?”
Clearly, Rebel stuck to her promise!
