Pregnant Jamie Otis took to Instagram to reveal she and her husband, Doug Hehner, will be welcoming baby No. 2 in the spring. In addition, the 33-year-old also confessed that she was able to hear the baby’s heartbeat for the first time on Saturday, September 21. How exciting!

“We finally have a due date! Our family will be expanding by two little baby feet and a whole lotta love on May 14, 2020,” she wrote. “This is a long caption but bear with me. I have something I want to tell you.” The Married at First Sight alum, who suffered multiple miscarriages, added that a woman named Lauren approached her while she was out with family in New York City to thank her for sharing her experiences with “pregnancy loss and infertility struggle.” The former Bachelor contestant returned the favor and expressed her gratitude to Lauren and others who inspire her with their positive comments.

We heard the HEARTBEAT for the first time at our fertility specialist!!!👶🏼🌈 And we finally have a due date! Our family will be expanding by two little baby feet & a whole lotta love on May 14, 2020!🤰🏼✨ *this is a long caption but bear with me. I have something I want to tell you.☺️ • We had such a fun day in NYC today. {Peep the World Trade Center 💙} We went to this fun event & then walked around SoHo. We finished the day off w dinner outside & that’s where the last pic comes in. • This sweet woman named Lauren approached our table & said “Jamie! Hi! I know you don’t mind if your Frans come say hi so I just wanted to tell you that you’ve really inspired me.” (😭!!!) She went on to say that infertility has affected so many she loves … and then she thanked me for being so open about my pregnancy loss and infertility struggle. • I just have to tell you, it is women like Lauren & *you* reading this who inspire *ME*🙏🏻 The countless comments on my pics, etc. sharing your struggles of pregnancy loss and/or infertility have made me feel less alone.🙏🏻💗 • Every message I’ve read where you share with me about loss or infertility—OR never giving up & eventually having a rainbow baby—has made me feel understood & encouraged. These struggles can be so isolating at times, but I’ve realized there are so many women going through it and none of us should feel alone.💞 I have the strength to share my journey bc you first had the courage to share yours with me …and those rainbow baby stories gave me *so* much HOPE while I was in the midst of the storm…twice now.🙏🏻🌈 • I want to thank *you* for reading this long af caption🤣, for encouraging me during tough times, and celebrating with me during the good times.☺️ You have helped me far more than you’ll ever know. *You* inspire ME! So, thank YOU. Truly🙏🏻….& if you made it to here please comment your fav emoji so i can thank you! • • • #miscarriage #awareness #pregnancyloss #miscarriageawareness #ttc #tryingtoconceive #ttccommunity #ttcjourney #pregnant #bu#pregnancyannouncement #pregnancyjourney #pregnancydiary #prego #preggo #preggers #rainbowbaby #mafs #marriedatfirstsight #firsttrimester #thankful #grateful #blessed #bestfrans

We went to the fertility specialist and found out WE ARE PREGNANT!!!🤰🏼 I cannot even believe it!😭👏🏻🥰…after 18 long, painful months, two losses and negative after negative on the pregnancy tests we are *finally* pregnant again!💗 Of course I am being cautiously optimistic, but I have a feeling this little one is going to stick..🙏🏻🤰🏼🙏🏻 ….the only thing is, yesterday the nurse called and said my blood work came back a bit different than anticipated. • Based on my last period, I should be about 4 weeks along. The blood work to support this would look like this: progesterone 8-10 & HCG 50-300 • My blood work came back like this: progesterone 51 & HCG 1,441 !!! • This means that I’m either further along OR I could potentially have TWINS!😱👯(They said it’s most likely I’m further along but I would absolutely love twins!)💞 • Thank you, thank you, *THANK YOU!* for all the encouragement, love, & prayers. IT WORKED! WE ARE FINALLY PREGNANT !!!!! 🤰🏼💗✨ • And before I end this looong caption, I just want to say this: if you’re reading this & are currently in the process of #ttc – oh mama, my heart hurts for you.😞 I know the instant internal pain that comes from another’s pregnancy announcement – even if you are or at least want to be – happy for the lucky couple. I just want you to know that your rainbow will come too. The storm cant stay forever. Hold onto hope! I am thinking of you!👶🏼🌈 • ….@doughehner & I recorded a bonus podcast ep on @hotmarriagecoolparents so we could share the WHOLE story on how we found out the best news of our lives with you! I put the link in my bio for ya!🤰🏼👶🏼✨ • • #mafs #marriedatfirstsight #bestfrans #pregnancyannouncement #finally #pregnant #pleasestick #rainbowbaby #firsttrimester #pregnancyjourney #preggo #yaya #familygoals #ttc #tryingtoconceive #ttccommunity #positivethoughts #instagood #tryingtoconceive #fertilityjourney #fertility #twins #twinsofinstagram #preggers #pregnancyphoto #pregnancyreveal #pregnancy #growingfamily

Three days prior to revealing the due date, Jamie shared a photo of her growing baby bump. She is currently a little over five weeks pregnant, and the baby is the size of an orange seed. Aw! Jamie, who currently has a 2-year-old daughter — Henley — with Doug, got candid about why it’s important for her to be vocal about miscarriages. “Other women who are going through it also sit in their dark holes and instead of just sitting alone in your dark hole, try to reach out and chat about it with someone who is going through similar experiences,” she told Life & Style exclusively in December 2017. “Not only are you helping yourself, you’re helping the other person. You really are.” Well said. We wish the lovely couple the best!
