The most memorable moment on season 3 of Selling Sunset is Christine Quinn’s insane “gothic winter wonderland-themed wedding” to husband Christian Richard. Who is the tech entrepreneur that the real estate agent married and how did their romance begin? Keep reading for all the tea!

Christine, 31, met Christian, 41, who is a now-retired multi-millionaire software engineer, through a mutual friend. “My girlfriend went on a date with him and she’s like, ‘Hey, I went on a date with this guy who I really don’t like. I know you’re single, you may want to go out with him,’” the Netflix star told Refinery29

The drama surrounding the beginning of their relationship played out during season 2 when her costars, specifically Mary Fitzgerald, questioned a period of “overlap” between Christine and another woman Christian was allegedly involved with at the time. The reality star said the incorrect timeline was because “the story played telephone down the line,” explained Christine, and her friends “didn’t really understand what happened.”

However, there is no denying Christian was bit by the love bug during their first encounter. “Christine, I met you in Beverly Hills not even a year ago, and I absolutely fell head over heels in love with you,” the MIT graduate said at their engagement party. “We had dinner, she was wearing this red dress, and we hit it off in the car. We had instant banter which is really special, you don’t get that too often. I pursued her, and she’s a tough catch. But here we are now, she’s amazing, complements me perfectly, and we’re building a life together.”

Christine is just as smitten over her man. “We’re so similar in all the ways that matter,” she told People about her now-husband. “We are both creative, driven, entrepreneurial, and have always lived by our own rules.”

Their romance sparked up quickly and continued just as fast. Less than two months into their relationship, Christian purchased a four-bedroom, six-bathroom Hollywood Hills home spanning 5,917 square-feet for them to live in. The $5 million price tag also earned the former model a hefty $150,000 commission.

“I would sit in that open house every Sunday and would picture myself sitting in that house, getting coffee with my husband, and I now live in the house that I envisioned myself living in,” Christine gushed.

Although the couple lives larger than life in some aspects, Christine admitted she “never, ever” thought she would make her relationship public on Selling Sunset. She didn’t even divulge that she was on a TV show when they first started dating. “When I met him, he thought I was only in real estate. The show comes out and I’m super quiet about it because I have low expectations, and we’re traveling,” she told Refinery29. “In Tokyo and the Bahamas, people started saying, ‘Oh my God, I love you. I love your show.’”

Christian confessed being on TV is “so not” him but agreed to appear on the reality real estate show. “He’s really, really shy, but decided to do it for me,” the blonde beauty continued. “He’s on the show quite a bit and, bless his heart, he tries, but [filming] is a really awkward thing. It’s not organic in any way. It’s not reality in any way.”

The pair officially got married on December 15, 2019, after getting engaged on Valentine’s Day. They were surrounded by 75 of their closest friends and family, including the Oppenheim Group, for their over-the-top nuptials at a cathedral in downtown Los Angeles.

We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Christine and Christian!
