Who Is Chrissy Metz’s Ex-Boyfriend Bradley Collins?
Bradley is a songwriter and author, and he is currently based in Nashville, Tennessee, according to his Instagram bio.
He previously opened up about his career when appearing on the “Do That Music Thing” podcast in January 2023. He explained that he worked as an executive at the major music rights management company Broadcast Music, Inc. However, he eventually left the company to pursue his creative projects full time.
Chrissy Metz and Bradley Collins Met on a Dating App
Chrissy revealed that she first met Bradley on a dating app during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
“I swiped, and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh! He’s so handsome, is he real?’ And I guess the funny part is that he thought he was being catfished because I didn’t put much on my bio,” Chrissy recalled during her and Bradley’s appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show in February 2023. “Somebody will actually engage in conversation if they’re interested and not for the wrong reasons.”
While they quickly hit it off, Chrissy said that she “basically had to beg him to ask for my phone number” after they had spent about one month talking.
Chrissy also reflected on their first date during the talk show. While they initially planned to go to a park for a picnic, they had to get creative when it started raining.
“It’s been three years almost,” she said before revealing the hoops they jumped through to social distance. “I can’t get over anything. But I was like, ‘Well we can, like, social distance in your house,’ and he is like, ‘OK,’ so I literally, like, unlock the door, I’ll come in, and you just go to the couch. ‘Cause this is before you could test. Like, there are no tests available. So you couldn’t even find out if you were potentially sick or not. So I was like, we’ll just shout across the living room. It was so romantic. But that was our first date.”

Not only were Chrissy and Bradley romantically involved, but they also worked together. They released their children’s book, When I Talk to God, I Talk About You, in 2023, as well as the companion album, Pray for This Day.

Chrissy and Bradley announced that they called it quits after three years of dating in October 2023.
“After three and a half years together, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship amicably. While we continue to love each other very much, we believe this is the best path for us both,” they wrote in a joint statement shared via Instagram. “We still have books to write, songs to sing and a special friendship to keep us in each other’s lives forever.”
