Royal fans were pleasantly surprised to hear that Meghan Markle is pregnant and expecting baby No. 1 with her husband, Prince Harry. Kensington Palace announced the exciting royal baby news on Monday, Oct. 15, and even though sources revealed to In Touch that Meghan is still in the “early stages of pregnancy,” fans are already taking bets on what Meghan and Harry will name their baby —  and many fans are wondering will Meghan named her baby Diana, after Harry’s late mother?

According to a report from the Daily Express, there are three names that are already “frontrunners” as possible baby names for Meghan and Harry’s unborn child. “At this stage Diana, Arthur and Alice, which was favorite at different stages for Kate and William’s babies, are the 12/1 front-runners,”  according to bookmakers. “However, with months until the baby is born, those odds will shorten, change and other names will come to the forefront, so watch this space.”

So far, there are two girl names and one boy name at the top, but there are three choices for each gender  and they all have a traditional theme. The names Charles, Edward, or James are the top three for boy choices, and Alice, Elizabeth, or Victoria are the top three choices for a girl.

But bookmakers are also not “ruling out” the possibility that Meghan and Harry might buck tradition altogether and go for a more trendy moniker for their little one because their child would be seventh in line for the throne, which means it would be highly unlikely that they would ever become King or Queen.

“With Meghan’s USA roots it would be remiss of bookmakers to rule out an American moniker featuring somewhere,” Jessica Bridge, of British-based gambling company Ladbrokes Coral, told the Daily Express. Either way, fans will have to wait a lot longer to find out what Meghan and Harry will decide to name their little one because Meghan isn’t due until next Spring.
