He’s back! It’s been 13 years since Will Smith released a new album (he released one song, “Get Hit,” last year, but Lost & Found debuted in 2005), so now feels like the perfect time for him to drop another record for his anxious fans. And on Wednesday, May 23, he took to Instagram to tease that he may be doing just that!

“Gettin’ back in the studio,” he wrote on Instagram next to a video of himself rapping just as well as we remember. “Just warmin’ up.” And his followers could not contain their excitement. “Yes! I am here for it @willsmith sounds great!” one user wrote. Another added, Fresh Prince still spittin’… ????.” One said, “Legends never lose it! Fire!”

Will’s rapping career kicked off back in the ’80s when he was the Fresh Prince on the hit show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which ran for six seasons. Don’t lie, “In West Philadelphia born and raised, on the playground is where I spent most of my days… ” is in your head right now.

The actor also posted the full video on YouTube with a message to fans about why he’s been so busy over the years and has not made any new music, “At my peak, I was doing a television show, a movie, and an album every year,” he shared (Men in Black is our favorite film of his). “So like, just churning out that kind of creativity. What happens is you get to a point where you get empty.”

But now, things have changed for Will — and the 49-year-old dad-of-three is ready for what’s next now that he can focus solely on his music. “I’m excited. I’m reenergized. I’m creating wildly like I used to,” he shared. “I’m ready.” So are we, Will!
