Lena Dunham can officially add author to her already impressive resume.
After teasing fans with a book announcement in 2012, the Girls star has finally given her fans more information about her publishing debut!
Taking to Instagram and Twitter on Monday, the 27-year-old revealed the cover and release date for her advice book, Not That Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She’s Learned.

“It’s official. Coming 10/7/14,” captioned the Golden Globe winner, who signed a $3.5 million deal with Random House to publish the text.
While she’s no stranger to writing – she writes for Girls, in addition to producing, directing and starring in the series – the upcoming collection of essays marks Lena’s first book.
“If I can take what I’ve learned in this life and make one treacherous relationship or degrading job easier for you, perhaps even prevent you from becoming temporarily vegan, then every misstep of mine will have been worthwhile,” she explains in the official book description.

With her trademark humor and self-deprecation, she continues, “This book contains stories about wonderful nights with terrible boys and terrible days with wonderful friends, about ambition and the two existential crises I had before the age of twenty.”
