A source confirmed to Life & Style in February 2022 that the pair had “just got engaged,” with the insider adding, “He’s super chill and worships the ground Sydney walks on.” However, fans have wondered if they’re still going strong after the couple reportedly split in March 2025.

Though Sydney and Jonathan were reportedly set to wed in May 2025, sources told TMZ in February 2025 that the couple had postponed their nuptials. While fans wondered if the relationship was on the rocks, the outlet reported that the wedding was only on hiatus “because of the couple’s busy schedule.”
Sydney sparked speculation that she and Jonathan had split when she attended her Anyone But You costar Glen Powell‘s sister’s March 2025 wedding in Dallas, Texas. Jonathan wasn’t present for the three-day affair, while eyewitnesses told DeuxMoi that they saw Sydney and Glen together at several Dallas hotspots.
Leslie Powell shared a photo posing with Sydney at her wedding reception on March 31, 2025, and multiple outlets reported later that day that the Euphoria actress had split from her movie producer fiancé.
“Sydney and Jonathan are officially split,” a source told Us Weekly on March 31, 2025.
People reported that same day that the White Lotus alum was “overwhelmed” by their “relationship and her wedding,” adding that “she didn’t feel right about it.”
“She’s exactly where she wants to be,” the insider shared. “Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She’s all about working right now and very excited about all her projects.”
The source added that Sydney is “in the middle of this magical career that she could only dream of a few years ago,” and she “wants to focus” on her career “right now.”
Sydney and Jonathan were seen together for the first time since their split was reported on April 6, 2025, looking solemn while meeting for lunch in Los Angeles, and just a few weeks later Us Weekly reported that the two were struggling to cut ties with one another.
“They had been together for so many years and their lives are very intertwined,” a source told the publication on April 23, 2025. “It’s hard for them to just pull the plug and stop all communication.”
Despite that, the insider maintained that Sydney and Jonathan’s “wedding was still off.”
“Sydney and Jonathan have maintained a good relationship during this time and aren’t back together,” the source continued. “[She] is still maintaining that she is single and very focused on work.”
