Matthew McConaughey won't be returning for another season of True Detective, but it may not be the last time he works with co-star Woody Harrelson.
Sources tell Life & Style the on-screen duo are talking about a remake of the Western classic Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
“There’s already a script in development," the source close to the project confirms to Life & Style.
“Matt wants to turn a whole new generation of moviegoers into fans of the bandits,” the insider tells Life & Style.
The 1969 flick starred Paul Newman as Butch and Robert Redford as Sundance.
"Matt would play Sundance and Woody would play Butch," the insider says, adding that "he hopes Robert wants to direct!”
