Thank u, next to a relationship! It’s been six months since Ariana Grande broke off her engagement with Pete Davidson and since then, she’s been all about the single life. However, in February, the 25-year-old pop star sparked rumors of dating ex Big Sean when they were spotted hanging out, but now reports are shutting down the possibility of these two being an item.

According to a source who spoke to Us Weekly, there’s nothing more than a friendship going on here. “Ariana and Big Sean have remained in contact, but neither of them are looking for anything serious [or] romantic,” the insider revealed, adding they are only “friends.” TBH, it’s not shocking, considering this isn’t the only ex Ari is amicable with.

After she released her hit “Thank U, Next” as a single in November, her ex and former backup dancer Ricky Alvarez made a rare appearance on the singer’s Instagram Story after she reposted his reaction to his line in the song.

“HAHAHAHA IM SORRY U GOT THE WORST LINE, @rickyrozay. It was meant v lovingly,” she wrote over the post of him looking surprised. From there, Ricky expressed he was joking and said he’s thankful for being included in the bop. “Nothing but gratitude. thank u, next. (those songs are fire tho… you’re welcome),” he wrote.

Like Ricky, Big Sean’s name also appeared on the track: “Thought I’d end up with Sean/But he wasn’t a match.”

The two dated in late 2015 for eight months. After that, she was in a relationship with Mac Miller, followed by Pete. Despite not being with anyone at the moment, Ari still cares for her exes. Another source previously told the outlet that Ari “has reached out to her exes to have a positive place in her life right now and for peace of mind, so she can focus on herself and this tour, which is the only thing on her mind right now.” You go, girl!
