Artem Chigvintsev’s Parents Hint at Him Having Kids With GF Nikki Bella: ‘Babies Over Marriage’
First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby in the baby carriage? That’s not what Artem Chigvintsev‘s parents have intended for him and his girlfriend, Nikki Bella. The 37-year-old former Dancing With the Stars pro’s folks are eager for the couple to have kids before they even consider tying the knot.
“Well, here’s the thing. [Artem] did not translate that to me, but I know his dad’s already asking about babies over marriage,” Nikki, 36, told Life & Style and other outlets during the PUBG Mobile’s #FIGHT4THEAMAZON to benefit Global Green on December 10. “All I told Artem was like, ‘Did he Google my age? Does he think I’m old? Your dad must think I’m old.’ Because I was like, he’s asking about babies and not marriage, but yeah, it’s weird. I think it is going fast, but I think in that department, we kind of slow it down. Right?’
Luckily, the Total Bellas star and her beau are on the same page. However, Artem is more keen on going with the flow. “Oh no, I do want to have kids, I think,” he said. “I don’t want to slow it down. I think just let things be natural and go where they go. I don’t think we need to force anything, but if things are, then yeah. I’m very happy. But I think my dad asked that question, because my brother is older than me and he has two kids, so he’s kind of like, ‘hey, you better hurry up, because you have a lot to catch up on.’
Nikki is doing things on her own terms and she made sure to let Artem know that. “I have the vagina, you don’t, so. My vagina will not catch up to your brother’s wife’s. How about that?” she told him. Yas, queen!
This was Nikki’s first time meeting Artem’s parents and overall, it went well. She took to “The Bellas” podcast on December 4 to reveal she was “really nervous,” but she said they liked her “a lot.” She added, “they’re the sweetest people in the world.” At least his parents approve!
