‘Bachelorette’ Contestant Jed Wyatt Asks Fans to ‘Spread Love’ Amid Girlfriend Drama
His apology tour? After Jed Wyatt’s ex-girlfriend Haley Stevens claimed that she was dating Jed before he went on The Bachelorette, the country singer posted an Instagram message that seemingly referred to the drama.
“Hands down one of the best days I’ve ever had,” the 25-year-old captioned two photos of himself with Hannah Brown on Tuesday, July 2. “Time stopped. Also, @alabamahannah is the strongest in a lot of ways (especially arm wrestling). Let’s focus on that and spreading actual love.”
Naturally, fans took the comments section to vent about his shady past. One person wrote, “OK, but what about you playin’ Hannah?” while another echoed, “I bet it’s awkward to make these posts now.” A third chimed in, writing, “LMAO. You’ve been spreading maybe a little too much love.”
The Nashville native seemed to make an impression on the blonde beauty early on. After he went on his first one-on-one with Hannah, they seemed more and more into one another. Now, the former beauty queen will get a chance to meet his family on the Monday, July 8 episode.
Even though the handsome hunk has been a fan favorite most of the season, it seems like he might have been hiding his true colors all along. Haley explained her relationship with Jed to People in June. “We spent the night together the night before he headed to L.A.,” she told the outlet of their four-month relationship. “He told me [the show] was just an obstacle, and we’d be stronger on the other side because of it.” From the beginning, Jed was honest about why he decided to sign up for the show. “He said, ‘It’s probably not going to happen, but it’s a huge opportunity. I’m only doing this for my music.’ He only did it for his career. He kept telling me, ‘I don’t want my dad to help me pay rent anymore.’”
Some social media users even speculated that Jed is the one that Hannah has sex with in the sneak preview clip. “I f—ked in a windmill,” she confessed. “And guess what? We did it a second time!” One fan pointed out they know who Hannah is referring to. “This is me rewinding #TheBachelorette to find the windmill. IT WAS JED,” they wrote.
But viewers aren’t too happy about Jed and Hannah’s romp. “Dang, seriously hoping it wasn’t him. So gross, LOL, especially when she has Tyler, Peter and at that point Mike still around. #TheBachelorette,” they fumed.
Well, soon enough Jed will tell his side of the story.
