Pro Baseball Player Bryce Harper Is *Not* a ‘Bachelorette’ Contestant But Here’s Why Fans Think He Is
Fans were shooketh when they thought pro baseball player Bryce Harper was meeting Hannah Brown as a contestant on The Bachelorette. It turns out, it was just Luke P. The two studs do look strikingly similar and Twitter can’t quite get over it.
Although they may look like twins, Bryce and Luke are, in fact, not the same person or even related. The 26-year-old is a professional right fielder for the Philadelphia Phillies. Luke, 24, did formerly play football but he currently works as an “entrepreneur” in Florida.
Fans were very distracted by the similarity. “Luke P. looks creepily like Bryce Harper,” one person noted during the May 20 episode. “I don’t trust this Bryce Harper wannabe,” another user added.
It definitely doesn’t help that the season just started and Luke is already a very controversial contestant. During a week 2 group date, the blonde stud shockingly dropped the L-bomb.
The men were tasked with competing in a “Mr. Right pageant” that included a swimsuit and talent portion. They strutted their stuff in front of the former beauty queen, America’s Next Top Model judge Miss J Alexander and former Ru Paul’s Drag Race contestants Alaska and Alyssa Edwards.
During the talent show, Luke got on stage and spilled his guts. “Hannah, I know that the Mr. Right for you is a man that’s going to love you fiercely. I’ve already given you a piece of my heart but I hope in the future I can give you all of it,” he confessed on stage. “This is pretty crazy because it’s so soon but I can’t hide it. I’m genuinely starting to fall in love with you.”
The other guys were not buying his bold confession since he had met Hannah literally 48 hours before that. He spent the rest of the episode convincing the Alabama beauty that he was completely genuine and she seemed to gobble it right up.
He even snuck away after the rose ceremony for some bonus one-on-one time with her and said, “Everything I’m telling you is 100 percent real I promise … I don’t want you to have any fear in this with me.” The episode ended with a steamy makeout sesh between the two.
