Bachelor Nation’s Brayden Bowers and Christina Mandrell Married 1 Year After Proposal
There’s a new Bachelor Nation Mr. and Mrs. in town! Brayden Bowers and Christina Mandrell announced they privately tied the knot on December 12, 2024.
Bachelor Nation shared the news via YouTube on Tuesday, January 21, alongside a home video montage of the Bachelor and Bachelorette alums taking the steps to say, “I do.”
“We just got a marriage license. Nobody knows,” Brayden, 26, said to the camera alongside Christina, 30, as they exited the courthouse.
The couple began to laugh before Christina said, “The engagement was much different. Everybody knew.”
“Yeah. We’d think we’d switch it back up. So, everyone knew about the engagement? Nobody knows except for …,” Brayden replied before Christina chimed in, “The people driving by. When we get married in the gazebo.”
Brayden and Christina’s engagement was televised in January 2024 during the wedding of former Golden Bachelor couple Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist. The pair divorced three months after their nuptials after Gerry was diagnosed with cancer.
The video later cut to the day Brayden and Christina eloped in the presence of the Tennessee native’s daughter, Blakely, and the officiant. The bride revealed that Blakely’s “tummy was hurting” when Brayden picked her up from school earlier that day, so he held up his stepdad duties and carried her from the car to the gazebo. Once the family arrived at the altar, Blakely took over the roles of the flower girl and videographer, capturing the moment Brayden and Christina exchanged vows.
Hours after Bachelor Nation shared the video, Christina broke her silence on her marriage.
“Yes we are ACTUALLY MARRIED!” the actress captioned her January 21 Instagram post. “Last photo is of my parents wedding because I wore my moms wedding dress for a lot of these photos #novemberrain. This was a styled shoot though. Check out my last post if you want to see the actual day of photos taken by Blakely on my phone.”
Christina shared a carousel of photos she and Brayden took during a professional wedding day shoot. The pair stuck with a vintage ‘60s chapel theme and posed in front of a classic car with a “Just Married” sign and a multi-layered pearl cake. Brayden donned a pine suit and a pink tie in the photos. Meanwhile, Christina wore different wedding dresses for each scene.
Brayden and Christina were showered with love from friends and family in the comments section of the post, including Bachelor Nation stars like Mari Pepin and Blake Horstmann.
“Congrats!!!!!” Blake commented, while his fiancée, Giannina Gibelli, separately wrote, “Yayyyy congratulations you sweet love birds.”
Brayden and Christina’s marriage comes more than one year after their relationship was announced in December 2023. At the time, the travel nurse appeared on Bachelor in Paradise season 9, shortly after appearing on Charity Lawson’s season of The Bachelorette. During the BiP finale, the show gave fans an update on his love life.
“Now, Brayden is dating Christina from Zach [Schallcros] season,” the text read in the episode. “Brayden is teaching Christina’s daughter how to accessorize.”
That same month, Brayden relocated from San Diego, California, to Tennessee to live with Christina.
