It’s a Boy! Patrick Mahomes’ Wife Brittany Matthews Gives Birth to Baby No. 2
The family keeps growing! Brittany Mahomes, Patrick Mahomes‘ wife, gave birth to their second child on Monday, November 28.
“Patrick ‘Bronze’ Lavon Mahomes III 11/28/22 7lbs 8oz,” Brittany captioned the sweet annoucement via Instagram, along with a photo of their newborn dressed in a onesie on a brown blanket printed with “Mahomes.” A “Bronze” necklace was placed below Patrick’s feet.
The couple announced the pregnancy news via Instagram in May, two months after the fitness guru responded to fans inquiring about when they will have another child.
When an Instagram user asked the University of Texas grad, 27, on Wednesday, April 6, during a Q&A session whether she and the professional football player, 27, want “any more babies anytime soon,” she replied, “OK, y’all really out here wanting us to have another baby. Got so many of these [questions].”
The personal trainer told her followers to “calm down,” writing, “We don’t exactly know yet!”
Two months later, they announced the pregnancy of their second child.
“Round 2!” the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and the soccer star announced in a joint Instagram post. The announcement included a carousel of photos posing with their 15-month-old daughter, Sterling, who held up a sign that read, “Big Sister Duties Coming Soon.” She also wore a light pink T-shirt with the words, “I Have a Secret to Tell You.”
This pair has quite the love story – from high school sweethearts to now parents of two. Patrick and Brittany became close in 2011, when the now-NFL player was just a freshman in high school.
On the same day Patrick received his Super Bowl ring, in September 2020, he proposed to his longtime love.
“Ring SZN @brittanylynne,” Patrick captioned a photo of his new fiancée showing off her massive rock on his Instagram Stories.
The personal trainer later shared the details of the elaborate proposal, which took place in a VIP box at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
“This happened today,” she wrote alongside a snap of a massive flower display in front of an illuminated sign that read, “Will You Marry Me?”
“My heart is so full! I love this man so incredibly much and today was so so special!” Brittany wrote on her Instagram Stories. “Couldn’t imagine this day being anymore perfect!”
That same month, the teenage sweethearts announced they were expecting their first child together.
“Mom & Dad, taking a small detour to the wedding❤️,” Brittany wrote via Instagram, alongside two photos of Patrick holding her stomach, while holding the sonogram.
Brittany and Patrick welcomed daughter, Sterling, in February 2021.
The duo tied the knot in Hawaii in March 2022 with Sterling as their flower girl.
