Nicki Minaj and BTS Just Dropped the Most Random but Amazing Collab and Fans Are Shook

Something we never expected to hear: the queen of rap collaborating with the kings of K-Pop. But now that it exists, we’re obsessed! That’s right, BTS dropped their new album Love Yourself: Answer on Aug. 24, and it featured a new version of their song “IDOL” featuring none other than Nicki Minaj

The surprise collab was the very last song on the ablum, and when fans saw it they were like O-M-F-G. “WOW THE BTS SONG FEAT NICKI MINAJ IS HIGHKEY A BOP,” said one enthused twitter user. “Nicki x BTS??? Best collab to be honest omg ?,” said another. A third agreed, writing, “Nicki Minaj really featured on a BTS song?? B—h the simulation is glitching, I’m shook!”

And it seems like fans may have something even bigger to look forward to: a music video! When a fan took to Instagram to ask Nicki why she wasn’t featured in the music video for “IDOL,” she replied, “My version will be out in a cpl days.” We literally cannot wait!

Nicki came in with a fire verse on the track, and she even gave BTS’ country a shout-out, rapping, “Uh what’s good, Korea? You know I’ve been a boss for my whole career. I’m ’bout to Jet in the leer, and put more than my hands in the air.” Nicki’s “I’m the GOAT” vibe fits in perfectly with the song, which is all about self-empowerment. The chorus even says, “you can’t stop me lovin’ myself!” We’re definitely obsessed, and now we just need to count the seconds until the video drops!
