Catherine Giudici Doesn’t Know the Sex of Baby No. 3 but Had a Good Reason to Throw a Pink Shower
Because why not? Former Bachelor contestant Catherine Giudici is pregnant with her third child and threw herself an all-pink baby shower. Is she expecting a girl with husband Sean Lowe? Not necessarily.
“We don’t know if the baby is a girl or not, but we’re gonna party as if it is,” the 33-year-old captioned a slew of photos from the party on Instagram on November 3. She and Sean, 35, met during season 17 of The Bachelor and share two sons — Samuel and Isaiah. They announced on June 19 that they were adding a new addition to their family.
She further explained on her Instagram Story why she wanted to make sure her party had a rosy hue. “Alert: This is not a gender reveal,” she captioned a video of herself talking with a cute animal filter. “I’m an obnoxious girl, so I’m having an obnoxiously girly shower for my unknown baby’s gender. I seriously didn’t think I liked girly things until I birthed two boys and haven’t yet gotten the chance to do girly things. Again, this is not a gender reveal.”
Although the reality stars admitted that her pregnancy was a “complete surprise,” Catherine made it clear after their second boy that she has been keeping her fingers crossed for a girl. “I get asked all the time whether we’re done in the kiddo dept, so here’s your answer: Not until Samuel and Isaiah have a baby sister bossing them around,” she dished on social media in February, just four months before revealing their big baby news. “SEAN LOWE, I WANT A GIRL.”
They’re busy preparing for their new addition, but having more kids was always in the cards. “I want a big family,” Catherine exclusively confessed to Life & Style at the Sleep Number Under the Mistletoe event in NYC in January. “I’m really pushing for four [children].”
The couple is also open to the possibility of adopting. “My sister Shay’s adopted two girls and just to see where they came from and how their life has been so drastically altered and how happy they are,” Sean added. “It’s really, really cool. So, we just figured, you know, you’re blessed to be a blessing. So, if we can bless someone’s life, why not?”
For now, we hope Catherine gets that girl she’s been dreaming of!
