Agree to disagree? Colton Underwood responded to Kelly Ripa slamming The Bachelor on her talk show. Spoiler: He is pretty much unbothered. The host has been very outspoken about her disdain for the reality franchise so her comments actually came as no surprise to the former football player.

“I obviously know that Kelly doesn’t like the show. I don’t know. I was on there. I think there’s some mutual level of respect. We’re all, we’re both on ABC, so I don’t take it too personal,” the leading man of season 23 told Us Weekly at Tacotopia’s Grand Opening Taco ‘Bout a Good Night on Thursday, May 23.

The 27-year-old also added that he thought her comments came under way too harsh of criticism. “It really isn’t that big of a deal, it just got blown out of proportion,” he said.

Kelly, 48, ruffled some feathers during the May 14 episode of Live With Kelly and Ryan when she told her cohost, Ryan Seacrest, that the dating show “disgusts” her. “I can’t stand the idea of 25 exceptional women fighting over one ordinary fella, in my opinion,” she explained. “You know how I feel, ladies, we are too special to be arguing over a guy.”

Colton definitely changed his tune since he first reacted to her comments about the show. He tweeted on May 15, “How mad is Kelly Ripa going to be when The Bachelor wins an Emmy this year? … #ThankYouForYourConsideration.” However, the stud assured that his response “was all in good fun.”

“I mean, I knew going into the show that she didn’t really agree with what The Bachelor is, but that’s OK,” he noted about his recent appearance in March with Cassie Randolph, his girlfriend who he met on the show. “It’s OK to have opinions and to stand by them.”

Well, it looks there’s no saltiness with this member of Bachelor Nation.
