Girl power! On Nov. 25, Ariana Grande took to Twitter to share an emotional post about how much hate she’s been receiving on the platform. Thankfully, her friend and rumored collaborator Halsey was there to support her.

Some of the s–t I read on here makes me sick to my stomach. It scares me the way some people think and I don’t like this world a lot of the time. If only we could be more compassionate and gentle with one another. That’d be sick,” Ari wrote.

Shortly after, the “Without Me” singer replied with some seriously kind (and badass) words. “Ari, the world could only dream of being as compassionate and gentle as you. And since [you’re] being, as always, so classy and nice, allow me the honor of telling them to shut the f–k up.” Ummm, we don’t know about y’all, but we think that calls for a serious mic drop. You go, H!

In addition to Halsey and Ariana being members of the same industry, both women have also experienced highly publicized breakups in recent weeks. First, Ariana ended her five-month engagement to SNL comedian Pete Davidson. Then, Halsey and rapper G-Eazy broke up for the second timeConsidering these lovely ladies are known for turning their pain into art, it’s not surprising that Halsey and Ari have each released hit breakup songs since their relationships ended — “Without Me” and “thank u, next.”

While Halsey’s “Without Me” video has already made its debut — complete with a G-Eazy look-alike — fans are still waiting patiently to see Ari’s “thank u, next” masterpiece come together. As it stands, we know that the 25-year-old has drawn inspiration from four classic movies: Mean Girls, Legally Blonde, 13 Going On 30, and Bring It On. Needless to say, we are P-U-M-P-E-D.
