Kourtney Kardashian Says Cosleeping With the Kids Was Bad for Her Relationship With Scott Disick
Finding what works. Kourtney Kardashian opened up about her decision to cosleep with her kids and admitted that it was harmful to her relationship at the time with Scott Disick. She even stopped doing it when their youngest was born to help the bedtime situation.
“When I gave birth to Reign, I decided to have him sleep in his own room from the start,” the 38-year-old said after explaining that her other two children — Mason, 9, and Penelope, 6, — slept in their shared bed from birth. “The decision was for the good of my relationship. With two kids in my bed, Scott had begun sleeping in the guest room, so I made an effort to try and get Reign to sleep in his crib.”
However, having a newborn means constant feedings. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star added, “I actually spent the first two months sleeping in a bed in his room, as I was up at night nursing.”
Although Kourtney and Scott officially split in 2015 after nine years together, they still remain extremely close. They take family trips and hang out with his new girlfriend, Sofia Richie, together. Overall, they’ve been pretty much killing the coparenting game. They get along so well that sometimes it’s hard to tell if the spark is actually gone between them.
“A lot of people believe they’re destined to wind up together again,” a source exclusively told Life & Style. Although the source admitted that the brunette beauty has had “fun playing the field,” they explained, “The hot hookups with other guys have only made her appreciate him more.” At the end of the day, the insider dished that “Scott is the father of her children” and “the only guy who’s ever truly gotten her.”
During the season 16 teaser for KUWTK, Kourtney can be seen admitting that she’s only ever been in love with one person. It’s a pretty safe bet that she’s talking about Scott.
Whether romance is in the cards one day for these two or not, it’s great to see them getting along for the sake of their kids.
