Kylie Jenner and Sofia Richie Party at Stassie’s Controversial ‘Handmaid’s Tale’ B-Day Bash
Birthday time! Kylie Jenner and her sister’s baby daddy’s girlfriend (you following us?), Sofia Richie, were hanging out and showing each other some serious love at mutual friend Anastasia Karanikolaou‘s 22nd birthday bash. The duo helped celebrate their friend with a Handmaid’s Tale party — a theme choice that didn’t sit well with fans.
In a few videos posted to Instagram Stories by both Kylie, 21, and Sofia, 20, the two beauties can be seen getting a few mirror selfies. The makeup mogul even called Scott Disick‘s bae “my girl” at one point in the short vid. Talk about a blossoming friendship, y’all!
In fact, Sofia has been connecting with Kylie quite a bit lately. At her BF’s 36th birthday bash back on May 26, the dynamic duo got into the photo booth to take some cute snaps with the birthday boy and his baby mama, Kourtney Kardashian. Trust us, the pics were extremely cute.
The blonde babe also supported Ky when she launched her newest business venture, Kylie Skin, by showing off her personal selection of products from the new line. “Killed it yet again,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories back on May 20.
Dynamic duo aside, the excitement of seeing these two babes hanging out wasn’t enough to overshadow the elephant in the room: Kylie’s party theme choice for her friend’s special day. And trust us, Twitter definitely did not hold back on the criticism.
“I honestly believe Kylie Jenner did NOT understand the Handmaid’s Tale if she’s throwing a themed party about it,” one fan wrote about Kylie’s supposed favorite show, while another asked, “Who wants to be the one to explain Handmaid’s Tale to Kylie Jenner?” Yikes.
“Am I the only one completely grossed out that Kylie Jenner is throwing a Handmaid’s Tale party…” another follower questioned. “Also am I really surprised?”
Either way, we’re just glad these two ladies are getting close — controversially-themed birthday parties and all.
