Kylie Jenner Says Jordyn Woods Fallout Was ‘Needed’: ‘I Had to Go Through That’

Kylie Jenner looked back on her fallout with Jordyn Woods, admitting that it was ultimately for the best that they took space despite being “heartbroken.”

“We’ve always tried to talk through things, so it’s never been a full cold-turkey cutoff. It was needed distance,” Kylie, 27, reflected on her feud with Jordyn, 27, while speaking to Elle in an interview published on Wednesday, October 23.

Jordyn made headlines in 2019 when she was caught kissing Khloé Kardashian’s then-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson. The scandal resulted in Jordyn distancing herself from the entire Kardashian-Jenner clan, including best friend Kylie.

Khloé, 40, and Tristan, 33, ultimately split for good in 2021 after it was revealed that he impregnated Maralee Nichols while still in a relationship with the Good American founder.

“Anytime something happened, good or bad, and I needed to call someone, it would always be her,” Kylie explained about their friendship before the scandal. “To lose that person felt really lonely, but I had to go through that.”

Despite losing one of her closest friends, Kylie admitted that it was ultimately good that they took space because it allowed both her and Jordyn to broaden their horizons.

“I learned so much, gained so much independence, and was there for myself. It helped me grow up a little bit, because we were so attached at the hip,” the Kardashians star continued. “I think that in order for us both to grow, she needed to spread her wings and do what she needed to do as well.”

Four years after the scandal took place, Kylie and Jordyn revealed that they were on good terms when they were spotted having lunch together in July 2023. The reality star later opened up about where she stood with Jordyn while speaking to Jennifer Lawrence for Interview Magazine in November 2023.

“Jordyn and I, we always stayed in touch throughout the years and we would meet up at my house and catch up and just talk through everything,” she said at the time. “There’s a learning lesson in everything, and I think that in a weird way, everything happens how it’s supposed to happen. We were so attached at the hip that we needed space to grow into the people that we were supposed to be. I needed that independence and that confidence because she was like my security blanket for so long.”

More recently, the duo reunited to film a TikTok video together in September. In the clip, Kylie lip synced along to a sound of older sister Kim Kardashian introducing their Hulu reality series. “OK, guys, we’re back,” Kylie mouthed as she backed away from the camera to reveal Jordyn and Stassie Karanikolaou.

Jordyn then lip synched, “Did you miss us?” before Stassie, 27, mouthed along to Kim saying, “Because we missed you.”

Shortly after the video was shared, several fans rushed to the comments section to express their excitement over Kylie and Jordyn hanging out. “JORDYN AND KY. KING KYLIE ERA IS REALLY RETURNING,” one person wrote. Another chimed in, “The comeback of a century!!!”
